DESCRIPTION:TLILIC0040 – Licence to Operate a Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (Greater than 3 Tonnes Capacity)  \nUnit of Competency \nThis course provides the essential skills and knowledge required to safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a Rated Capacity (RC) exceeding three tonnes\, in compliance with all relevant legislative responsibilities. Please note that completing this unit does not automatically grant a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this equipment\, nor does it permit driving an articulated mobile crane on public roads without a valid heavy vehicle licence issued by a transport regulator. \nCourse Highlights: \n\nNon-Slewing Mobile Crane Operation: Learn to operate mobile cranes with a boom or jib that cannot be slewed\, including articulated and locomotive cranes (excluding vehicle tow trucks).\nPlanning and Preparation: Understand how to plan and prepare for crane tasks\, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.\nTask Performance: Gain practical experience in performing various crane tasks\, including lifting\, moving\, and positioning loads.\nRoad Preparation and Driving: Learn the procedures for preparing and driving an articulated mobile crane on roads.\nPack Up: Master the correct procedures for packing up and securing the crane after use.\n\nIndustry Relevance \nOperating a non-slewing mobile crane is a critical skill in many industries\, including construction and logistics. This course ensures you are well-prepared to handle these tasks safely and efficiently. \nLicensing/Regulatory Information \nTo perform this work\, you must hold a non-slewing mobile crane HRWL. This unit is based on the licensing requirements of Part 4.5 of the Model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations and meets Commonwealth\, State\, and Territory HRWL requirements. \nPrerequisites \nThere are no prerequisite units for this course. \nDuration \nThe course is conducted over 5 days. \nEntry Requirements for High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) Courses \nTo enroll in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) course at Platinum Training Solutions\, participants must meet the following entry requirements: \n\nParticipants must be at least 18 years of age.\nParticipants need to provide 100 points of identification\, including photo ID\, to verify their identity.\nParticipants must have a basic command of the English language.
