TLILIC0003 – Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck 

Unit of Competency

This course provides the essential skills and knowledge required to safely operate a forklift truck in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. Please note that completing this unit does not automatically grant a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate a forklift truck.

Course Highlights:

  • Forklift Operation: Learn to operate a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage, capable of raising loads 900 mm or more above the ground.
  • Planning and Preparation: Understand how to plan and prepare for forklift tasks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Task Performance: Gain practical experience in performing various forklift tasks, including lifting, moving, and placing loads.
  • Pack Up: Learn the correct procedures for packing up and securing the forklift after use.

Licensing/Regulatory Information

To perform this work, you must hold a forklift truck High Risk Work Licence (HRWL). This unit is based on the licensing requirements of Part 4.5 of the Model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations and meets Commonwealth, State, and Territory HRWL requirements.

Entry Requirements for High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) Courses

To enroll in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) course at Platinum Training Solutions, participants must meet the following entry requirements:

  2. Participants need to provide 100 points of identification, including photo ID, to verify their identity.
