CPCCLSF4001 – Licence to Erect, Alter and Dismantle Scaffolding Advanced Level

Unit of competency details

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform advanced scaffolding work.

Scaffolding work involves erecting, altering or dismantling a temporary structure to support a platform from which a person or object could fall more than four metres.

This unit applies to scaffolding work involving:
• cantilevered hoists
• hung scaffolds, including scaffolds hung from tubes, wire ropes or chains
• suspended scaffolds

Scaffolding work is undertaken in construction and other industries where temporary structures are erected, altered and dismantled.

Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

This unit has a pre-requisite requirement. This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLSF3001 Licence to erect alter and dismantle scaffolding intermediate level or holding a valid licence for intermediate scaffolding.

Entry Requirements for High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) Courses

To enroll in a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) course at Platinum Training Solutions, participants must meet the following entry requirements:

  1. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Participants need to provide 100 points of identification, including photo ID, to verify their identity.
  3. Participants must have a basic command of the English language. This includes the ability to read, comprehend, and write a range of texts, and effectively respond to spoken language.
  4. Participants should possess a basic ability in mathematics, particularly for understanding formulas and load chart calculations.
  5. Participants must have the necessary health and fitness levels to carry out their duties safely.
